“A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me. I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:32-33
The Lord did not have Coronavirus in mind as the reason for us being scattered to our own homes. But it is true that because of it we are having trouble in this world. But we can take heart for He has overcome the world!
What does this mean for worship service?
Our service will be broadcast ONLINE ONLY on Sundays at 10am on YouTube Live. We encourage you to join us live! Pastors will be doing a live chat during the service to take prayer requests or answer questions. You can subscribe to the Eastern Hills Church YouTube channel. Be sure to check in through our online connection card (ehwc.org/hello) to let us know you're with us and/or to share a prayer request.
What about other events and groups at the church?
With the latest restrictions announced by our local government, we are suspending the meeting of ALL groups of any size immediately. We will reconsider this in April. There have also been a number of new reported exposures in our area and we believe this is the prudent thing to do. A few groups may continue to meet by Zoom or Google Groups.

How do I give my tithe and offerings?
Have questions about Online Giving? Watch this helpful video! Thank you for your faithful giving and desire to honor the Lord through it. It is a spiritual issue. And while we are functioning physically apart from each other, the staff is working hard at seeking out and providing resources that will assist you and your family to honor the Lord and help others during this "time out." And also seeking regular means for us to “be together” while we are forced to be apart physically.
- Online Giving with your bank account ("ACH transfer").
- Online bill payment through your bank.
- Mail a personal check.
- Online Giving with a credit/debit card (you'll have the option to cover the processing fee).
How can I get new updates?
Updates from the church will continue to come as necessary. All updates will be sent to our church attenders by email, posted on our Facebook page, and posted on this FAQ page in chronological order (see below).
Any good news?
Yes, Tom Brady is leaving the Patriots. #billsmafia #letsgobuffalo
Ha ha, but really, how can I stay connected?
We have more potential for communication and connection than any other time in history. Text, call, video message your relatives, your small group members, the people who usually sat behind your pew on Sundays... leave a note for your neighbors and ask if they need anything next time you go to the grocery store. Accept that offer from one of your neighbors if they give it too! We have extra resources listed here as well (keep scrolling down!).
What if I have a prayer need or question?
Call the church at 716-688-7165. You'll get a staff member or a message with instructions on how to reach someone. You can also submit prayer requests through our online connection card (ehwc.org/hello). We are still here for you!
