“After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.” Isaiah 53:11

It’s Cross day. Darkness reigns. But Sunday is coming. One thief insulted Jesus while the other humbly cried out to Him. It’s Cross day, but Sunday is coming. Vinegar is raised to parch lips, and responsibility for His mother’s care is passed to a trusted friend. It’s Cross day, but Sunday is coming. He commended His spirit to the Father. He died. Hell rejoiced. Disciples wept. It’s Cross day, but … Sunday is coming.

And on Sunday, God was satisfied. Men were justified. The Son was glorified. And the stains of sin were purified. It was Cross day, but now it is always Sunday!

Lord, thank You for Sunday, for You have justified me by Your suffering, so that I may share in Your satisfaction and glory. Amen.
